Every October since the first year we met, Frank and I take a trip up to Hershey, PA. It is situated in a quaint and quiet area of Pennsylvania in the heart of Amish country. There is a great little amusement park there, people are friendly, food is fresh and tasty, and it is absolutely beautiful. Known as the "sweetest place on earth," Hershey, PA is where the heart of American chocolate began. The Hershey company boasts two beautiful hotels, with many great restaurants. Among them, The Hershey Lodge and The Hotel Hershey. While both are beautiful sites and offer great wedding resources and locations, I am making The Hotel Hershey the focus of my first destination wedding location.
The grounds of The Hotel Hershey are visually stunning. Located adjacent The Hershey Gardens, if you plan for the right time, you'll be swimming in acres of beautiful and vibrantly colored roses and other flowers. I cannot say enough about this hotel. The spa is one of the best I've been to, where you can bathe (literally) in chocolate! The food in the restaurants is outstanding, sometimes even a bit chocolate infused. What female wouldn't want chocolate infused in every course??? The staff is friendly and cheerful. It all comes back to the beautiful grounds though. The gardens are very well maintained and planned out. Since a picture speaks a thousand words, I hope these sum up what I am trying to describe.
